Client Service is a process.  One that begins upon initial contact and NEVER ends! 

Cabinetry with TLC is a company built upon the principle of first-rate client satisfaction.  For our client this means we pay attention to all the details from the time you call or step into the showroom.  We treat every client, every job, as we would want to be treated and we really listen to what our client’s want and need and then provide our expertise to help them achieve their project! 

The first step begins with a phone call from you to set up a FREE initial consultation.  This “first step” can be done in your home or at our showroom.  During this FREE consultation we will discuss your needs for your remodeling or new construction project.  Before we get together start looking at magazines, homes of friend’s, television and gather a list of ideas you would like to incorporate into your project.  Then when we get together we can discuss these ideas and more, such as wood species, door styles, accessories that work or reasons why they don’t work and overall colors.  Our in-house interior decorator can help with additional ideas on flooring, backsplashes, countertop options and cabinetry colors as part of our FREE service. 

Our second step moves on to an in-home FREE measurement to look over the area we will be designing.  We will take measurements of existing wall, windows, doors, doorways, plumbing, heating/cooling vents and outlets.  During this time if it is a remodel project we will be discussing possible ideas of moving any of the aforementioned items to better meet your needs.  We will also take this time to evaluate your need for additional contractors, plumbers and electricians. 

The third step involves taking all our ideas, measurements and choices and creating a 3-D design of your new area.  This computer presentation will allow you to visualize areas of your design in a comprehensive manor.  We will also discuss projected costs of the design and if any changes need to be made to better serve you!  Discussion will be held on pros and cons of cabinet and countertop options so you may make an informed decision.  

Step four involves all final decisions, final measurement of approved layout, signing of contract and deposit.

Then order of cabinetry is placed, delivery times vary according to company and time of year, normal delivery time is 2-5 weeks. 

The next steps are all happening concurrently.  Tentative scheduling of tear-out, installation, plumbing and electrical are occurring to provide smooth running jobs.  IT IS IMPORTANT to remember:  if you choose granite, quartz or solid surface countertops, templating is done when base cabinets are set and then it’s a 2-3 week lead time BEFORE countertops are installed.  PLEASE note:  we can put in a temporary sink and small countertop area if needed for an additional small fee, but this must be discussed beforehand. 

Basic Scheduling is as follows: 

Cabinets are ordered: 2-5 week lead-time

Construction work if needed

Cabinets arrive

Tear-out of old cabinetry and countertops occur (1-2 days)

Electrical rough-ins

Installation of cabinets (can be 1 day to 1 week- depending on job size)

Template of countertop (done as soon as base cabinets are set)

2-3 week lead-time on countertop installation

Plumbing/appliance re-hook

Final “tweaking” finishing touches done 

Of course, depending upon contracting, flooring, plumbing and electrical changes needed this changes scheduling.  Normal down time for your kitchen is 1-4 weeks depending on complexity.  Make sure you are prepared for this and PLEASE discuss this with your designer as some times we are able to put in temporary countertops and sinks and hook up appliances to make your daily living a bit easier.  Remodeling, building can be inconvenient but the outcome is worth it, Cabinetry with TLC tries to schedule for you to have the least amount of inconvenience as possible. 

Once the job is installed completely, our job does not stop there!  All cabinetry and countertops have various warranties and we are always available for warranty issues or simple adjustments, just call us.
